Easy Air Fryer Smoked Paprika Chicken Drumsticks (Crispy Skin, Juicy Meat, 25 Minutes!)

Crispy skin, juicy meat, and zero hassle. The air fryer was literally made for drumsticks. 🍗✨

If you’re tired of heating up the whole house or cleaning oil splatter, this is your new weeknight obsession. These drumsticks come out golden, smoky, and ridiculously tender—like you grilled them, but without the fuss. The air fryer does all the work, and the skin gets that perfect crackly finish.

Ingredients:

  • 8 chicken drumsticks — patted very dry
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Air Fryer Secret Ingredient: 1 heaping tbsp smoked paprika — gives deep BBQ flavor without a grill

How to Make It:

  1. Toss the dry drumsticks with oil and all the seasonings until fully coated.
  2. Place them in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Don’t crowd them!
  3. Air fry at 380°F for 22–25 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  4. Crank to 400°F for the last 2 minutes to crisp up the skin. Internal temp should reach 175°F.

What to Serve With:

  • Air fryer potato wedges
  • Cool ranch dip: sour cream + Greek yogurt + dill + garlic powder
  • Crisp coleslaw for a fresh crunch
